    Default Morion Blade Stack Effect Question

    Basically what I want to confirm is ;
    If you have a Clever Rat's Ring on (50% boost) With a Morion Blade(1.6x) in each hand, will the two Morion Blades stack with each other causing damage to be of this sort, Yx1.5x1.6x1.6
    Whereas Y is the base damage variable.

    Lets make base damage 100 and do the math.
    Whereas Z is the final damage.

    Z = 100 x 1.5 x 1.6 x 1.6
    Z = 384

    If that works, would not dual wielding one of the Morion Blades add an addition 50% on top of all that. I've heard about the bow trick, where you have Morion blade in your left hand and your bow damage gets a boost, but when you fire an arrow, are you not just using two hands for that one bow.
    While the Morion Blade isn't technically being wielded, it is equipped on the main slot giving the boost.

    So if the Morion Blade is being dual wielded in the right hand, while the left is still equipped, with a Clever's Rat Ring at 30% health, would the damage output be of this sort. Yx1.5x1.6x1.6x1.5

    Lets see what that damage is equal too.
    Whereas Z is the final damage.

    Z = 100 x 1.5 x 1.6 x 1.6 x 1.5
    Z = 576

    576?!?!?!

    Thats a 576% increase in attack power. Someone please confirm or deny this, this is all speculation to me at this point.

    If it really does stack to how I think it does, I already got the most rape PVP build planned out

    Is there any possible way to get a 576% increase in damage output in this game besides this?

    to get that full bonus you'll have to have a morion in the main hand and a morion in the off hand and be attacking with one of the morion's. once you sub one out for a different weapon, you'll lose the bonus from it.

    If you use two Morion blades, you can only attack with a morion blade, nothing else. Since you would be using both, you cant cast magic or miracles without the catalysts or talismans to support it.

    576 Attack power is not very amazing IMHO.I have gone over 1200 attack power with a Dragon Bone Smasher +5 on my all-around MAGE character.

    Morion blade is not a good weapon to use to attack people with in the first place: too slow and the range is horrible.

    Remember that 576 attack power comes from a base damage of 100.

    Take your base damage with a Morion Blade single wielded at full HP, then multiply that by 5.76 for your end damage.

    What would the range of Morion be comparable to? (as in another weapon)

    really? seems to have about the same range as a short sword though. the long swords(such as penetrator's sword) have larger range, and the bigger swords all have larger range. my katanas have larger range.

    The first time I ever played DS I got the Morion blade and thought, "Wow! This thing looks like it could do some decent damage and be useful to my character in some way for sure."
    Turns out, I was wrong.

    We'll I cant wait to actually test all of this out before I tell myself its not good enough to use. Thats the glory of testing. If the testing goes horrible, I'll gladly be up for switching my entire strategy to make it even better then before.

    All the math I've done up to this point makes me believe I'll be getting solely 1HKO's with the damage output ill be at. After I get done with this builds testing and whatnot, I'm definitely going to work on other strategies, if it works or if it doesn't. Can I expect your help then as well?

    I might be able to start this build sooner then later so it might be within the next few days if I'm lucky.

    Makes sense to me... haven't tried it. I don't know why it wouldn't since the trick doesn't only work with a bow it works with any weapon in your right hand. You can two hand a meat cleaver (or any weapon) and if the morion blade is in your left hand slot it will still give you the bonus.

    I don't think it will work. My experience so far shows that equiping the same item (like 2regenerator rings), they will not stack. I believe the same applies with weapons.

    It works different than with rings. Holding two crescent weapons will stack your MP regeneration, as will holding two blessed weapons will stack with HP regeneration.

    With that 576% damage increase, imagine what could be done with Moving Soul Arrow. You'd be able to cast it, switch to dual Morion, then zweihand. Is the damage based off the equipment you have on at the time the arrows shoot out, or at the time you summon them?

    I dont think its a 576% increase though. I think the morion blade, like the clever rats ring increases your weapon attack power by 50 or maye 75%?

    Here is a cut and paste of something from the demon's souls wiki:

    The 'Dying ATK Up' effect actually increases the attack power of all weapons equipped by 50%. The effect increases both the weapon's base attack rating and bonus from stats. In addition to melee weapons, the effect also includes bows, arrows and the bonus to offensive spells from catalysts and talismans. Using the Morion Blade in unison with the Clever Rat's Ring will provide a tremendous attack bonus of 125%, when you are under 30% HP, resulting in more than double damage.

    I'm going to make another morion blade right now to see what's what. I don't think it would do more damage than my meat cleaver with a single morion blade and clever rats ring.

    I still think it will not stack. For example, MP regen does not stack when you are holding two phosphorescent Poles.

    I don't think 2 morion blades stack.

    BUT!
    I know for a fact that 2 Large Swords of Searching DO NOT stack!
    With 1 I had about 300 Drop Rate and with 2 I had about 300 Drop Rate.

    Haha I haven't been on in ages but I pulled of a backstab with this and hit 1678 around level 90 or so. Nearly crapped my pants afterwards.
